Linkse hobby's (left-wing hobby's)

Used in right-wing Dutch politics to indicate sectors that are subsidized by the government, sectors like development aid, public broadcasting and culture. Naming these domains “hobby's” gives the impression that they are not really important issues (for other than people on the left side of the political spectrum).
